With the digital age, came the birth of bloggers – the new digital age media army, with fashion and beauty warriors alike helping to set and develop trends around the globe. Every Monday, Wear Eponymous sits down to interview an up and coming blogger that has shown skill, quality and excellent blogging values.
This week, we interview Rachel Farrell, fashion and beauty blogger at Oh hey there Rachel.
W.E: Hey Rachel! Tell us a bit about you!
Rachel: My name is Rachel Farrell and I'm a 16 year old blogger from Ireland. I'm a book reading, vintage loving, nail art fanatic!
W.E: What made you venture into blogging?
Rachel: I had been reading blogs for years and really wanted to get my name out there. Even at a young age, I was thinking about the future! Blogging is the perfect platform for expressing my love for all things fashion and beauty.
W.E: What is your go-to summer make-up regime?
Rachel: My summer make-up routine is quite light and glowy. I usually apply a light foundation, with highlight and contouring for a bronzed summer look. Bright lipsticks are also a summer staple of mine!
W.E: What has been the most rewarding factor about blogging for you?
Rachel: That's a tough one! One of the most rewarding factors is the friends I've made- I'm just back from a weekend away staying with one of my blogging friends! Inspiring people is also amazing, and the comments people leave are a great confidence booster. It's also great to discover new brands!
W.E: How do you define beauty?
Rachel: Beauty is whatever you make it to be- it's how you define it. Simple as that! There are no rules to 'beauty', really.
W.E: Your all time favourite wardrobe ensemble?
Rachel: My favourite summer ensemble would have to be my denim playsuit and a printed kimono- perfect for dressing up or dressing down!
W.E: Name a wardrobe item you'd be lost without.
Rachel: I'd definitely be lost without my leather jacket. It's such a staple and goes with almost everything else in my wardrobe.
W.E: Finally, what is your favourite Wear Eponymous piece this season?
Rachel: My favourite piece is without doubt the high-waisted faux leather skirt. All my favourite things combined!
