With the digital age, came the birth of bloggers – the new digital age media army, with fashion and beauty warriors alike helping to set and develop trends around the globe. Every Monday, Wear Eponymous sits down to interview an up and coming blogger that has shown skill, quality and excellent blogging values.
This week we speak to Kitty from Suggestive Digestive who's not only a talented writer but can also speak multiple languages - extremely useful for fashion purchases on her travels!
W.E: Hey! Tell us who you are! (Give us a little info about you!)
Kitty: I'm a 25year old lifestyle blogger & dog lover from Manchester. I work in Social Media, although I'm an aspiring novelist. I love to travel and learn languages too! I speak French & Spanish and am just about to start learning Russian.
W.E: What made you venture into blogging?
Kitty: Since I was a child I'd always dreamed of being a writer, and I started my first book when I was 17. I lost my way halfway through the book, and one of my mentors at the time told me to start blogging to get back into the rhythm of writing every day. I did, and I fell in love with it. I still write books and stories, but I love writing my blog too!
W.E: What is your go-to hair-do?
Kitty: I always try to do a really elegant Grecian braid, but it never looks right on me! So, I love a simple but huge messy bun with a vintage head scarf for a casual day, or a more structured, neat bun with some sweet pearl hair slides for a more formal do - anything to get my hair up out of my face!
W.E: What has been the most rewarding factor about blogging for you?
Kitty: Lots of people say the chance to network, which has been a fabulous reward for me too, but the biggest reward that I've gotten from blogging is the positive impact its had on my self confidence. I have always been relatively confident, but the blogisphere is so full of strong, influential creatives with positive, empowering messages and I've been very privileged to meet and speak to many of them. In turn, their awesome can-do attitudes have rubbed off on me. I've become more positive and developed a fierce sense of ability. Its amazing!
W.E: How do you define beauty?
Kitty: Beauty is not concerning yourself with how other people see you.
W.E: Your all time favourite wardrobe ensemble?
Kitty: This changes so often its really hard to pin down. Right now I'd say black high waist cigarette trousers, a breton 3/4 sleeve top, flat peeptoes and a vibrant red bowler hat!
W.E: Name a wardrobe item you'd be lost without.
Kitty: Does a ring count? I wear a ring that belonged to my Nan all of the time. It's funny, it only fits on my ring finger, so people always stop to ask if I'm engaged and I've kept it a secret, and I have to explain that no, I'm not engaged, but my other fingers are too wide for it to fit! Anyway, if I ever forget to put it on, I feel naked all day.
W.E: Finally, what is your favourite Wear Eponymous piece this season?
Kitty: I'm torn between the cigarette trousers and the pastel textured skinny jeans! They're both so chic, its hard to make a choice in the morning!
