W.E. believe that every blogger's voice should be heard and are constantly astounded by the quality, honesty and variety in what you share with us. Every Monday, Wear Eponymous sits down to interview a blogger who has something to say in their own unique and engaging words.
Today we speak to Jamal from Style Chakra about writing, fashion and freedom of expression:
W.E: Hey! Tell us who you are!
Jamal: I've always loved writing, style, and imagination. I love the freedom of expression. In my line of work, styling people is more like a dress-up session between friends.
W.E: What made you venture into blogging?
Jamal: I've always had a love for writing and personal fashion. I love what it style can do for people.
W.E: What is your go-to hair-do?
Jamal: I love cropped, dark curls.
W.E: What has been the most rewarding factor about blogging for you?
Jamal: The most rewarding factor of blogging is seeing people recognise the intention of my work. I write about fashion to help people with style. I like the idea that I can use my work to change someone's day.
W.E: How do you define beauty?
Jamal: For me, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It's something that can't be defined by a single idea or physical feature. I understand that more and more when I see the work of other stylists/artists. I love seeing things through the eyes of another.
W.E: Your all time favourite wardrobe ensemble?
Jamal: I'm having a hard time picking between my coloured blazers and dropped cardigans. I pair either with riding boots, beanie, and a universal scarf.
W.E: Name a wardrobe item you'd be lost without.
Jamal: I'd be lost without my riding boots. They're like my ruby slippers. I can't make it without them.
W.E: Finally, what is your favourite Wear Eponymous piece this season?
Jamal: My addiction to jackets have forced me to pick the the Pink Pastel Jacket. I love well tailored pieces like this.
