Leiper Gallery Popup Concept Store

Leiper Gallery Popup Concept Store

Did you know that it’s almost three years to the day that W.E. was officially incorporated, preparing for it’s February 1st 2014 launch.  Little did we know at that time just how far we’d come on the independent design scene in such a short space of time!

Now, as we approach our 4th popup and 3rd festive event, we’re proud as punch to share the details of what is evolving into our most artistic, creative and visionary concept store yet.

Where

Leiper Fine Art, 117 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1QR

Ewan Kennedy, the owner of this beautiful, contemporary gallery space, has invited Wear Eponymous to blend art with contemporary designer brands in this stunning Victorian building over the festive period.

Built in 1889 by William Leiper, the prize-winning Sun Life building was carefully restored and re-opened in February 2014 under the name of Leiper Fine Art.  Often referred to as one of Glasgow’s finest architects, Leiper's gothic designs won critical acclaim and Alexander Reid, one of the most influential European art dealers of the early 20th century, also worked from this gallery space between 1904 until his death in 1928.
