Blogger Monday: Nadene Chandler

With the digital age, came the birth of bloggers – the new digital age media army, with fashion and beauty warriors alike helping to set and develop trends around the globe. Every Monday, Wear Eponymous sits down to interview an up and coming blogger that has shown skill, quality and excellent blogging values.

This week, we interview Nadene Chandler, fashion and lifestyle blogger at The Keep Calm and Live Lifebook blog. With a bubbly nature and a great affection for Thorpe Park, Nadene proclaims to be the queen of emotions (just let her watch "Titanic") and is based in Suffolk, England.

W.E:  Nadene! Tell a bit about you!

Nadene: Hi! I'm an 18 year old student, and I'm just about to finish my A-levels in English Literature, History and Health and Social Care. I'm off to university in September to study a degree in Journalism! I also spend a lot of my spare time writing for magazines and blogging!

W.E: Why did you begin your blog?

Nadene: I began my blog because I wanted to showcase my writing skills. I had originally started a blog over on Wordpress as a way to show my universities what I was like! I then moved over to Blogger and fell rather fond of the whole concept - which involved setting up a social media site for it and trying out everything to do with blogging - mainly because it looked fun, and a somewhat cute thing as a hobby!

W.E: What trends are you loving right now?

Nadene: Trends, oh my! I'm in love with the Gingham print, there's just something so striking about it! Especially with this glorious summer weather! (Editor's Note: Give us some of that weather, please, Nadene!) As well as the iconic whites - I don't think I would ever trust myself to wear all white, but I love it more and more as I see cheeky emails from my favourite clothing stores!

W.E: In your opinion, what is the ultimate classic wardrobe piece?

Nadene: Haha, what a choice! I think I would have to go for a playsuit - they're so cute, yet so practical! Well, perhaps not in the winter!

W.E: How do you define beauty?

Nadene: I believe that beauty can be anything, everyone has their flaws - I don't class myself as being 'perfect', but I praise everyone who doesn't cape themselves in an overload of make-up. Beauty is just our originality!

W.E: Tell us a funny fashion story!

Nadene: I was trying to avoid this question! One story involved white skinny jeans - and since then, I just cannot ever bring myself to pick up a pair for myself. Basically, myself and some friends decided to go for a walk wearing our best clothes, and we found ourselves in the woods with a ridiculously big muddy puddle, and we had no choice but to walk through it - so one by one we walked through, then my friend with the white skinny jeans (which were brand new,) fell over in this muddy puddle. It was literally like when you see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just didn't know what to do, So I just stood there and laughed so much, it was diabolical - especially now I'm 18, and it puts me off buying crisp white clothing!

W.E: Heels or flats?

Nadene: Would it be wrong for me to say flats? I love heels - especially as I'm only 5 ft 2", but they're a killer! I'd much prefer just walking around in flats - you just cannot go wrong with comfy yet trendy shoes!

W.E: Finally, what is your favourite Wear Eponymous piece this season?

Nadene: Oh my, it is definitely the pastel skirt - it looks so cute and trendy! Don't get me wrong, everyday I get more and more tempted to order it, it's a shame that I've put myself on a spending ban!
