Blogger Monday: Tania Pryer

With the digital age, came the birth of bloggers – the new digital age media army, with fashion and beauty warriors alike helping to set and develop trends around the globe. Every Monday, Wear Eponymous sits down to interview an up and coming blogger that has shown skill, quality and excellent blogging values.

This week, we interview Tania Pryer from Beautiful Avenger - a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog. A lady after our own hearts, Tania has a passion for all things "geeky!"

W.E: Hey Tania! Tell us a bit about you!

Tania: I’m a 21 year old supermarket cashier from Kent, who loves fashion and beauty and even more so, anything nerdy or geeky! I’ve been a cashier for over three years now part-time, but my real love is my blog. I love getting to talk about things I think are important or just amazing! I’m a huge Harry Potter and Marvel fan-girl so that tends to appear on my blog now and then as it something I am passionate about. I’ve only been using my blog properly as a fashion, beauty and life blog since October 2013, so I’m still figuring out how to run it and make it the best blog it can be. I’ve also never done anything like this interview before, so this is so amazing to me that my blog has led me here.

W.E: What made you venture into blogging?

Tania: I started out by just posting sporadically about what I had been up to and TV shows I had watched, as I liked the fact I could have a voice on the internet about things I loved. I never thought much about what I was writing or when I would post as it was just a side hobby. However, I then started talking about beauty and fashion that I was enjoying and I noticed quickly that those posts were quite popular, and people were actually reading my blog! I liked that I could have a voice about many things and that others liked it!

W.E: What is your go-to summer hair-do?

Tania: I’ve recently become a huge fan of a messy bun. My hair is a lot longer than it was last summer, so I’ve been resorting to a messy up so just so I can keep cool. If it’s a little cooler, then I’m all about having my hair down and pushing it back a little with my sunglasses on my head.

W.E: What has been the most rewarding factor about blogging for you?

Tania: Meeting new people and actually gaining a handful of friends from the experience. I’ve made friends with a couple of people dotted all around the UK, and even a few in America, which has been amazing! These are the people I go to when I have a blogger or beauty questions.

W.E: How do you define beauty?

Tania: I define it as what makes you comfortable. Everyone has natural beauty, and if you want to enhance that with make-up then go for it! The main quality to beauty is your confidence as that is the one thing that people will notice before anything else. It really is down to each individual.

W.E: Your all-time favourite wardrobe ensemble?

Tania: Skinny jeans! I have navy, black and bright red ones that are worn constantly, even in the summer. They go with all sorts of tops and shoes, so I find that I wear them for practically everything. I also have them in four other colours, so I can tell just how much I love them from the quantity I have!

W.E: Name a wardrobe item you'd be lost without.

Tania: A trusty hoodie. I’ve only got two, and I only ever wear one of them. I call it my nerdy hoodie as it has the Hogwarts logo on it! I rarely leave the house without it, even in the summer! It is slightly too big for me, so it is comfortable and perfect for snuggling up when it gets a bit colder in the evenings.

W.E: Finally, what is your favourite Wear Eponymous piece this season?

Tania: The floral camisole is so pretty! The floral pattern is perfect for the summer and the thin straps mean you won’t get too hot! Definitely paired with some shorts and sandals and you’ll have the perfect summer look.
