Working with Maggie Mowbray Millinery

It’s not often that a Scottish milliner bridges the gap between classic, contemporary and sophisticated elegance, complete with stunning imagery, exquisite attention to detail AND an accessible price point for all of the above.  Maggie Mowbray has managed to achieve it all and it’s no wonder that she recently won luxury online boutique of the year at the Herald Online Fashion Awards.

Launched in 2012, the brand soon evolved from an Etsy showcase to a worldwide service for fans and followers who either covet one of her beautifully classic designs each season or wish to order a bespoke piece for a special occasion.  With each design formed by hand before being hand stitched and finished in Scotland, it’s clear to see why this fine art graduate has found her niche in such a creative field.

Whenever we’ve popped up stocking Maggie’s designs, be it Princes Square on Glasgow’s Style Mile or our current event in The Leiper Gallery on West George Street, we’ve always enjoyed seeing naturalistic customer reaction to her work.  The showpieces are begging to be touched and tried on, often to the sounds of oohs and aahs from friends or family accompanying the purchaser, while classic pieces such as berets, beanies and slouchies are appreciated for their elegant style, quality finish and smooth addition to any accessory wardrobe.

We love working with Maggie and never fail to beam with pride when we see another MM design go to it’s new home.  It’s no wonder that this brand is regularly picked up by the press for inclusion in photo shoots and style guides (including Vogue!) when Maggie’s unique designs are worn at such iconic events as Royal Ascot and Royal garden parties.

Here’s to another successful festive season for this award-winning Scottish brand.
